Examples
Example 1 - The Carry Charge is Capped at the Calculated Maximum
Collateral Amount = $50,000; Borrow Fee Rate = 100%; Borrow Fee(2) = $138.90.
- Minimum Fee Calculation = 0.001 x $50,000 / 360 = $0.14
- Maximum Fee Calculation = 0.01 x $50,000 / 360 = $1.39
- IB Carry Charge Calculation = 10% x $138.90 = $13.89.
Total Initial Commissions = $1.39 + $5.00 =
$6.39
Daily Cost = $1.39
Example 2 - The Carry Charge is Rounded Up to the Calculated Minimum

- Maximum Fee Calculation = 0.01 x $50,000 / 360 = $1.39
- IB Carry Charge Calculation = 10% x $0.69 = $0.07
Total Initial Commissions = $0.14 + $5.00 =
$5.14
Daily Cost = $0.14
