The Portfolio Page

The Portfolio Page is a system-generated trading page that displays ticker rows for all of your current positions. TWS automatically creates and populates the page with all of your current open positions, and with market data for closed positions if Show zero position rows is checked. You can open additional panels using a series of icons that let you add a separate Orders section, view Trades, get Market Values from the Account Window, and use the Buttons panel.

To create a Portfolio page

  1. On the Page menu, select Create Portfolio Page.

To view the Market Value panel

  1. Click theShow market value panel icon. The Market Value panel is displayed above the Order Management rows, and is taken directly from the Account window. To hide the panel, click the red "x" in the corner of the panel.

For details on the Market Value panel, see the Account window topic.

To view the Buttons panel

  1. Click the Show buttons panel icon. The Buttons panel is displayed below the Orders and applies actions to the selected order. To hide the panel, click the red "x" in the corner of the panel. Note that the Buttons panel is configurable. Right-click and select Configure Button.

 To view the Trades panel

  1. Click the Show trades panel icon. The Trades panel is displayed at the bottom of the page. To hide the panel, click the red "x" in the corner of the panel.

By default, TWS displays each order directly beneath the ticker row for the contract. You can elect to create two separate panels instead, one to show Positions and and one to show Orders.

To show orders separately

  1. Click the Show orders separately icon. The Order Management panel is renamed Positions, and a new Orders panel displays directly below it. To revert to the original Order Management layout, click the red "x" in the corner of the Orders panel.
